Many of you are re-evaluating your business and streamlining your costs to face the realities of a challenging economy. We are all trying to cut back and make do with less these days, so it goes against the grain, somewhat, for us to announce that we are expanding our magazine distribution across the border into New York, so that we can to continue to give our advertisers the pre-qualified, high-income readers they have come to expect from our magazine. We think our timing is perfect, though. When we started the magazine six years ago, we worked with architects and designers who had the luxury of deciding that they only wanted to do projects in Greenwich, Westport or other towns in Fairfield County convenient for their business location and contacts. With the economy the way it is today, these towns no longer offer the pool of qualified homeowners they once did. Nowadays, it’s becoming necessary to go where the money is – and some of it is in Westchester.
Our mandate from the very beginning as a regional magazine was to distribute our publication to local, pre-qualified homes so that our advertisers were at least sure their ad message was being seen by readers well-heeled enough to afford their products or services. We’re staying true to our original mission. Good design and qualified customers have no borders. Starting with our September issue, neither have we.
Say hello to EAST COAST HOME & DESIGN. That’s our new name effective with the September issue. Our web site is being completely re-designed to give you a fully interactive, page-by-page digital version of the magazine, with click-through technology to your website – at no extra charge. Again our aim is to give you more for your investment with us.
Best regards,
